The Matte Gala

A NIGHT OF SKINCARE, STORYTELLING AND SUPPORT. 

In November 2024, we hosted our first-ever Matte Gala, a celebration of beauty, community and mental health, in support of the CAMH Foundation.

When we first conceptualized this event, we wanted it to be a statement to hold within the skincare industry. It's that, beauty must be deeply inclusive. Skincare can be soulful. And that healing can be incredibly communal in all ways. But very much like the campaigns we run here, even in our most curated moments, there is always space for softness, honesty and care. 

IN SUPPORT OF MENTAL HEALTH.

The Matte Gala raises funds for the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH)—Canada’s leading mental health hospital and research centre. And so this event was in support and awareness of that. Every moment, every detail, every conversation was designed with mental health advocacy at its core. This cause is personal. Because wellness without mental health isn’t wellness at all.
